The InBody 570 Body Composition Scanner
Melbourne Body Composition Analysis use the InBody 570 as its main body scanner for mobile scanning as well as long and short term hire. In our studio we also use the InBody 770 which gives an ever greater depth of results, especially in terms of body water.
The InBody 570 is a high-precision body composition scanner that analyses an individual’s fat, muscle, and water levels. It is often used in clinical settings to monitor changes in body composition over time but is also popular for general fitness tracking.
The InBody 570 will give you a full-page printout of your results and an easy-to-understand visualization of your body composition. You can use this information to track your progress over time and ensure that you are on track to reach your fitness goals.
So whether you are trying to lose fat, gain muscle, or maintain your current weight, the Inbody 570 is the perfect tool.
How the InBody 570 Works
The InBody 570 uses Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) to estimate an individual’s body composition. BIA works by sending a very low current at multiple frequencies through the body and measuring the resistance to that current. Because different tissues have different conductivity, this method can provide reasonably accurate estimates of fat mass, muscle mass, and total body water.
The InBody 570 also use Direct Segmental Multi-Frequency BIA (DSM-BIA), which improves accuracy by using three frequencies (5 khz, 50khz and 500khz) and 15 impedance measurements of five separate limb segments. This information is then used to calculate the percentage of total body fat, muscle mass, and water.
As a result, the InBody 570 is one of the most accurate BIA devices on the market.
